The Kawasaki ER-5 is a naked commuter motorcycle produced in Japan by Kawasaki. The bike is powered by a liquid cooled 4-stroke DOHC 498 cc engine based on the design used in the Kawasaki GPZ500, producing around 50 bhp (37 kW). It is capable of a top speed of around 185 km/h (115 mph). It also accepts being restricted to 25 kW (34 hp), which is the maximum power output permitted for certain types of restricted licences within Europe.
