2011 Rolls-Royce Phantom Review

The 2011 Phantom is offered in four different versions—regular Phantom, Extended Wheelbase, Coupe and Drophead Coupe. It is described as the most expensive production car in the world, but the term “production car’ makes it sound as though you just walk into a showroom and purchase one. That’s not really true with the Phantom, as the vast majority of buyers have their motorcar built to order from an extensive list of bespoke options, such as lambskin rugs, veneer picnic tables and 12-in. entertainment monitors. It takes between 15 and 18 hides from carefully selected herds of cattle to supply the 450 individual leather parts that go into a Phantom. Despite the Phantom’s heft and luxurious appointments it also moves rapidly, thanks to its 453-bhp V-12 engine.
